We are extremely thankful for Jamie and the intelligent, compassionate, and communicative nurse she is.
My Grandfather was diagnosed with lymphoma at the beginning of July 2022. His oncologists and providers underestimated how aggressive this lymphoma was and failed to start treatment quickly. Unfortunately, he was re-hospitalized end of July in what appeared to be a tumor lysis syndrome, with failing kidneys and liver. To his luck, Jamie was his nurse on one of his most critical days in the IICU and we are so thankful for her! Jamie was so compassionate, gentle, and saw him as a person, asking him personal questions and taking interest in his life's work as a surgeon. He lights up when he talks about his memories of being a surgeon and this was really good for his spirit.

Jamie was also a critical thinker and very intelligent. She was very alarmed by his critical labs and worked quickly to give him the treatments and medications that he so desperately needed. Jamie collaborated extremely well with the care team communicating with multiple providers, nursing supervisors, and the charge nurse. On my grandpa's most critical day, Jamie and the hospital worked extremely hard to find an oncology-certified nurse to come in and give my grandpa Rituxin on a Sunday. Jamie saw how important it was that he get this treatment and worked hard, problem-solving and making calls to help find a nurse. We are extremely thankful for Jamie and the intelligent, compassionate, and communicative nurse she is. I thank Jamie for giving us some more time with my Grandfather and giving him more of a fighting chance.
