My father is 71 and has terminal cancer in his stomach and although most people look at him and see the disease, Kim saw the person behind the disease.
Sometime in June my father was brought into the emergency department. He was in really bad shape and in a lot of pain. His anxiety was through the roof, to say the least. Kim provided exceptional care to my Dad. She took the time to explain every procedure that needed to be done, and every test, she held his hand when needed. Calmed my mother’s anxiety as well. She kept us updated on everything and really went out of her way to check on him, on me, and on my mother. To this day, my mom and dad are talking about the care that she and the rest of the team gave.

Everyone that walked in really was amazing from doctor to tech. They reassured him and really made sure he understood everything that was happening. My father is 71 and has terminal cancer in his stomach and although most people look at him and see the disease, Kim saw the person behind the disease, the family in pain, and the opportunity to show compassion! There are many amazing nurses in this hospital and every nurse in this ER should get an award, but especially Kim! From the bottom of my and my family's hearts, thank you, Kim!
