Julie always made sure I was cared for and went above and beyond to put a smile on my face. She is a phenomenal nurse who genuinely cares for and gets to know her patients. Julie has gone above and beyond to help me cope, understand and accept that I had a spinal cord injury that will take time for me to recover from. She particularly helped me the most with some of the worst parts of my injury, my bowel and bladder incontinence. She established a bowel program with me and taught me how to manage that program myself effectively. She made me feel comfortable and okay with this new process. Now I am performing the bowel program on my own with success. I owe it all to her. She is the epitome of a good nurse and does not make you feel like a burden. She is happy to see her patients and care for not only their physical health but their mental health as well. I used to be a Certified nurse's aide and seeing how Julie takes care of me is “next-level nursing” I am not sure where I would be mentally with my tragic life event if I did not have Julie as my nurse on the weekends.
