In the past 6 weeks, I have made 4 trips to the Heart Hospital. Once to the ER, once for knee surgery and 2 times for angiograms. Linda in Day Surgery was amazing. Twice I have been honored to be the recipient of her exceptional care. My knee surgery was postponed and Linda was the go-between working with Surgery, Cardiology, and Anesthesia - getting it all worked out. She made me feel as if I was the only patient she had to care for that day. She went out of her way to contact the physician’s office to make a follow-up appointment and made several calls to the Cath Lab to understand the situation and communicate with me. Her empathy and caring were over the top. When I returned a week later for an angiogram. I was delighted to find out she was my nurse for the day. Again, caring, and empathetic, and she communicated with my family. Everyone could learn some communication skills from her. She is the best. And I am a retired nurse!
