My husband and I were having our first baby and nervous about the process, Jonalyne went above and beyond to inform us and make sure we felt comfortable. We started laboring and she gave us lots of options to make us feel empowered to make our own decisions. We ended up getting an epidural and she was very supportive during the process. Our baby’s heart rate dropped occasionally during contractions which was very scary but we felt Jonalyne’s calm and supportive demeanor was a game changer for us, without her support it would have been much worse. After hours of labor, our baby’s heart rate dropped again, but this time for over five minutes. I felt Jonalyne was totally in control and I was confident in her at this point to let me know what I needed to know and when. She immediately got to work and brought our baby back to stable. We ended up having to have a c-section to make sure the baby was safe. We don’t know what we would have done without her. She seriously made a hard situation much better. We are so thankful we came to this hospital and were able to have her support. We will never forget her! And we will make sure our baby knows about her when he grows up!
