I am writing for the family of a man who was admitted because of a heart attack. He is a retired teacher/coach of 30+ years and has taught many students. Upon admission, we realized his nurse was a former student of his. Strong, independent men of his character are usually hard to deal with, but Chelsea was amazing! She was firm but very kind. When he was transferred to another unit, we requested to keep Chelsea as his nurse because we knew this would help his recovery and concerns. She reassured him and encouraged him all through this scary situation. We watched as she helped other patients/families with the same attitude and with the other nurses. In a world with a lot of chaos and questions, and as a teacher myself it is rewarding to see former students reaching their goals and making a difference in this world. We would like to thank the doctors, nurses (especially this one), and other staff for taking care of our needs during this difficult time.
