I want to thank you for the kindness that you showed us. Even though it was the worst day of our lives, we don’t ever want to forget it, and we will always remember you as one of the incredible people who is a part of B's story.
I received a letter from a patient in the mail for Stacey. Included in the envelope was an angel pin with the infant’s birthstone. The parents sent that as a token to say their baby girl is watching over Stacy. I truly believe in our role as servants of God placed here to facilitate the delivery of His miracle. Sometimes an unexpected or undesired outcome occurs; however our mission is to carry out the plan He chooses. I am blessed and grateful to work with Stacey and my entire OBED/L&D team. The nomination read:
You were my nurse in the OBED when we found out that our baby girl, had no heartbeat at almost 39 weeks. I wanted to write to you to personally thank you because we didn’t get to do so that day. We learned from the birth of our first daughter that nurses are incredible. Of course, we had no idea that the day "B" was born would go the way it did. B's birth gave us a completely new perspective on how truly awesome nurses are and gave us a new respect for what they do. We were amazed at how much love and care we were treated with every step of the way, and that started with you. I want to thank you for the kindness that you showed us. Even though it was the worst day of our lives, we don’t ever want to forget it, and we will always remember you as one of the incredible people who is a part of B's story. Thank you for all that you do for every family that you take care of. We know that your job is difficult, and we want you to know that you are appreciated. We believe that our sweet B is watching over you from Heaven, and we hope this pin with her birthstone will remind you of that. You will always be in our hearts and we pray that God will bless and protect you always.
