My friend was a patient for 32 days and seemed to go from stable health to crisis every other day. While all of the medical staff related to my friend's care were great at MacNeal, Alfredo acted and treated her and her visitors as though they were his family. I serve as my friend's Power of Attorney for Healthcare and when I would visit, Alfredo would keep me updated as to her status and condition. His ability to show empathy was incredible and made the situation easy to handle. Alfredo's bedside manner towards his patients is something Loyola/MacNeal should be proud of. He worked very patiently with my friend and made her very comfortable during her stay. The day that my friend was transferred to another skilled nursing facility Alfredo made sure to say goodbye and wish her a quick recovery as the transport ambulance crew began to wheel her down the hallway.
