CPT Yeung displayed compassionate care by going above and beyond to ensure I was advocated for as a patient. She took the time out of every shift to ensure I felt heard and gave me a voice in a devastating and isolating environment. When I felt I was emotionally spiraling she used therapeutic communication that gave me the comfort to continue with care here and not give up hope. She had the courage to voice my concerns with the care team and chain of command. I know how uncomfortable it is to express a patient’s concerns that go against direct orders from a provider. Her advocacy gave me hope and I am truly appreciative of the tireless work she dedicated to my care on this unit. Due to her compassion I was able to leave here with a positive outlook.
