Courtney Murphy (the one who was training Madison Brown)- she was there on our worst day with my baby and the best day with our baby. She stayed calm and assisted Dr. Ward for what seemed like hours after our baby lost her breathing tube. She bagged her and kept calm. She reassured me multiple times. She was also there on the day we took out her breathing tube and even though she wasn’t our nurse that day she came in and checked on us. She was so excited to see our baby doing so well. She is a phenomenal life-saving nurse!
Thank you, Madison Brown - she is an excellent nurse and will be great in pediatrics. She is extremely sweet and loving on all her patients. She reassured me multiple times when things went wrong with my baby. She also welcomed my other kids and made them feel at ease coming to the hospital to visit their sister. Thank you!
Corbin Martin- he is a shining light on the PICU floor. We never had him assigned to us but he knew us and helped when anyone needed help in our room. He was extremely welcoming to my other children. He was always so happy to see everyone and it brightens my day every day he was there. He was super sweet and gave my other kiddos gifts too. Thank you!
Jennifer Jesse (CA)- please forgive me if I got your name wrong. The one who watched the bulldog game with C when I couldn’t be there. You went above and beyond cuddling her many times when I had to leave to take care of my other children. You even asked me about my other kiddos, which was extremely sweet. Thank you! I’m sure you did a lot more behind the scenes that I never even saw!
Overall the PICU felt like a huge family. It was a great experience for such a high-stress chapter in our family. We are so thankful for everyone who went above and beyond to include us in the family for 11 days while we were there. Thank you. I wish there was a special way to recognize Dr. Ward too. He is a phenomenal physician and saved my daughter's life. He continued to stay close to her case watching her daily. I can’t thank him enough either.
