Terry has specific duties as Clinical Nurse Manager, however, she is all over the hospital sharing the knowledge that she has gained over the years helping patients and fellow employees. Mrs. Curvin is called upon so often to relieve other employees, therefore she is in constant contact with patients, patient families and coworkers. Her regular shift is 7-4 Monday thru Friday, but this is seldom the norm for her. The shift may begin at 7am and because of a need for the 7pm shift, she will leave at noon, go home to try and get a nap and then return to work at 7pm to work a 12 hour shift in ICU or as a staff nurse on Med/Surg, caring for 5-6 patients. If extra help is needed in outpatient, Terry is always available. If ICU Nurse needs relief for a lunch break, Terry is always available. Terry has skipped lunch breaks and personal appointments to help out where she is needed, to make sure that the patients are taken care of before herself. Terry is an asset to every department within the hospital, she makes herself accessible with no complaints. She is a leader, a teacher, and a great coworker who always has an open-door policy. Terry takes steps to ensure that her co-workers are never overwhelmed. Terry is an awesome nurse and these are just a few reasons she is a DAISY Nurse.
