Jarvis has been a nurse on our Medical-Surgical unit for 1 year. He received two nominations from staff members on the unit: Nomination #1: "Jarvis goes above and beyond for his patients. He is very focused and jumps in to help Patient Care Techs without a thought. He is also a fresh out of school nurse and has a huge heart that everyone sees and feels from a mile away. His patients receive their pain meds on time, there are no patients crying in pain, and all concerns are taken care of also. He's amazing. He has inspired me to go back to school. He is driven and very passionate about his career. It's not about a check with him, he actually cares for his patients and staff. He keeps us laughing and on our toes. Always pitching a hand when and where he's needed. Usually, the last one to leave." Nomination #2: "Jarvis is an amazing nurse, he always puts his patients first. When he comes to work, he takes care of all of his patients. He never complains about anything. He always picks up shifts on other floors and our floor as well. He always has a smile on his face. No matter what goes on or how hard the day may be, he remains positive and always puts his patients first. And that is what others look at because when the day seems rough, he always smiles and remains the same. He inspires others to become great nurses like him, and if I was in school to become a nurse, I would want to be just like him. Caring, compassionate, humble."
