Fabiola is a hardworking, extraordinary, and devoted student because of her unique situation. She is the mother of 3 children aged 3-11 of which the two older ones are autistic with behavioral issues. She constantly advocated for her kids and started to volunteer at their school to advocate for other kids when she decided to go back to school to become a nurse. Although the school years were very challenging with her kids, she found ways to support other moms with limited language proficiencies from her kids' school. She formed a support group for these parents and met with them on a monthly basis guiding them to be advocates for one another. The story was profoundly touching.
