It takes a special heart to recognize a need to care for a patient in an outpatient setting.
Oncology had a fill in nurse from another department for chemo one day. She was not supposed to work the next day, but she came in to work to accommodate a patient we had that needed a blood transfusion and platelets. We were not going to be able to add him on the schedule, so Dee agreed to come in to transfuse our patient. It takes a special heart to recognize a need to care for a patient in an outpatient setting. Patient outcomes are better if we can care for them outpatient vs inpatient if possible. Dee has that special heart. We appreciate what you do for our patients.
