Following a code, Christi (CK) remained behind to comfort the crying family members. She displayed the utmost care, concern, and empathy while explaining to the family the process that had just occurred. She provided them comfort by explaining the next steps of their father's care. Bystanding students were amazed by the way she talked to the family - she inspires all around her! As a charge nurse during the code, CK stood back and assisted her team members in finding tasks. She empowered her team throughout the successful code. CK is the woman. She inspires me each day I work with her. She treats every patient, family member, and teammate with respect. She is selfless. She is always willing to walk the extra steps or spend the extra time to provide her patients and team with the most pleasant, respectful care possible. She is timely, caring, and thorough when it comes to patient care. I know that CK provides some of Essentia's best patient care! So proud of who are you, CK!
