Not only she was concerned about her own patient, but she was also concerned about the patient’s parents (us).
My child was admitted to the ICU due to rhinovirus. Both my husband and I had no sleep in a couple of days now due to this stressful situation, thank goodness our nurse Lydia was so prompt all night, that she fed, hushed, swaddled, stayed with the baby until he falls asleep, and made sure that we parents were both getting sleep as well by basically being like my son’s personal nanny almost! You can tell that she really cares about my son because she initiated cleaning him up, when he was getting smelly and messed up with all the barf, dried-up milk, flaky skin, dandruff, continuous suctioning, and all other fluids dried up on his body, the previous nurse could’ve offered to clean him up but was barely there to stop by our room so we really appreciated Lydia’s promptness and was so happy when she was assigned to us again the next night. Not only she was concerned about her own patient, but she was also concerned about the patient’s parents (us). Cheers to you Lydia! Seattle Children's Hospital Made a fantastic choice hiring you!
