My 85-year-old Father was weak and dehydrated after fighting COVID. While in the Hospital it was discovered he had an abdominal bleed. We were scared and exhausted. Nan not only took care of my Dad, but she also calmed my Mom and me, and kept our spirits up the three days Dad was there. Dad is hard of hearing and had lost his voice but Nan would lean in and calmly speak to my dad so he could hear her, and patiently listen to his whispering voice. She always knew ahead of time what Dad would want or need and provided lovingly for him. Dad was humbled by his personal needs but Nan dealt with them with kindness and respect for his privacy. Nan is an amazing nurse but more than that she is a blessing to her patients. Mom and I cried tears of gratefulness as we left Dad. Nan, you are an angel walking among us and we are truly blessed to have you in our lives. Thank you so much.
