Alexis
Neumeister
,
RN
Medical/Surgical 5th Floor
Prisma Health Oconee Memorial Hospital
Seneca
,
SC
United States
She was kind, patient, and very thorough in completing tasks at work. She took her time with each of her patients and made sure each patient got the best quality of care.
Alexis was super nice and made me feel welcome during my clinical experience for Tri-County. Alexis went above and beyond to explain procedures, tasks etc. to me. She also explained things to me that she said she found to help her during her learning. Out of all the nurses, Alexis was the nicest and didn’t make me feel bad when asking her questions. She was always willing to lend a hand. She was eager to help us learn. She was always smiling.

I’m a nursing student from Tri-County and have had the exciting privilege of doing my clinicals here at OMH. I actually got to work with Alexis last semester as well as this semester. I have never had a nurse make me feel as comfortable as she does. Most often you end up feeling in the way, or a burden by many nurses but Alexis not only treats us as equals, but you actually feel equal, that you are not beneath her. What’s more is she is always happy to have our help, is very enthusiastic when teaching us. She even takes time to help us when she isn’t our assigned nurse. She has never shown anything but patience, understanding, and kindness while teaching or showing us a procedure, technique, or just an easy way to remember something. She was (and I am confident saying this) disappointed that she didn’t have any of us today. I’ve been able to work with her as a student as well as watch her with staff and patients and she is absolutely the best on this floor! She has certainly been the best nurse I’ve worked with in general, throughout all my clinicals, here and elsewhere. I truly wish every nurse we learned from at each location was more like her. I plan to go on to the RN program but at times you can feel inferior simply for being an LPN student. The word, "just" LPN is used now and then. But I have never felt anything less than equal with her. You guys have a wonderful asset with Alexis and should absolutely take advantage of such a great nurse. She has made my experience here much easier, less nervous, and more comfortable.

As a student nurse working on the floor, I found the RN nurse Alexis Neumeister to be an amazing example as to how a nurse should be. She was kind, patient, and very thorough in completing tasks at work. She took her time with each of her patients and made sure each patient got the best quality of care. As a student, you can become overwhelmed and anxious when making a transition from the book and then to the floor where you have to show the skills that you have been practicing. Alexis was able to explain things to help me make a connection when taking care of my patients. She also had an amazing personality that allowed your anxiety to calm down. I just want to thank her for all of her help and for how she made us all feel loved and welcomed!! She wanted to help us all learn and have fun and she was the best nurse on the floor hands down!

As a student nurse working on the floor every Monday, Alexis was the most positive and helpful nurse on the floor when it came to the students. She was always willing to help us in any way. She was very kind and patient with us. Always willing to show us and teach us things we didn’t know and understand. She has a very good bedside manner when it comes to her patients. She listens and takes her time with them making sure they have everything they are asking for and needing, and much more. She has the best positive attitude. She inspires me and makes me feel confident about making the choice to be a nurse. Hands down the best nurse I worked with on the Med/Surg floor.
