In the health journey of my husband, L, over the last 11 years, we met and were treated by many healthcare workers. There were many good ones, but a few stood out as outstanding at their job. Chris was one of those. She works in radiology as a scheduler and administrator and assisted the radiologist and the technician. In spite of why L was there, he always looked forward to seeing Chris. What made Chris so memorable was her kind and caring nature, her ready smile, and her efforts to always make us feel like we could call upon her at any time for anything. She always greeted us with the utmost respect and care and made certain that all was well with us. I would call Chris a "behind the scenes" nurse who perhaps receives little recognition, but one who is so important to patients entering her work area. She genuinely cared about L and his outcome from treatment, readily shared the number where she could be reached, and we always felt "remembered" by her. She was professional but personable and we so appreciated her presence in radiology.
