Madelinne immediately saw the signs and called a code to start CPR and all life-saving measures.
Our daughter, E, was 1 month old at the time. She was fresh out of open-heart surgery when her BT shunt was blocked by a clot. Madelinne immediately saw the signs and called a code to start CPR and all life-saving measures. They were able to bring her back and stabilized her. Shortly after that, while my husband and I were in the room, it happened again. Madelinne recognized it even before the machines started alarming. Another code took place and it took some time to stabilize her again. We were traumatized by what we saw. We were extremely upset and inconsolable for a while.

Madelinne was a comfort and light during our darkest moments. She was our nurse for the following two days, and I was so sad when she wasn't E's nurse anymore. To this day, Madelinne continues to follow our daughter's journey and support her. Whenever we're at the hospital for another procedure, she always makes a point to stop by and spend some time with E. Their bond is incredible and pure. We adore Madelinne and can't thank her enough for saving E that night, twice. Her knowledge and observational skills were extremely apparent as she executed in a moment of extreme stress. The level of care she provides all of her patients far exceeds anything I've ever seen, and we're at the hospital a lot.
