I was admitted for delivery early due to unexpected preeclampsia. My husband and I were anxious as we waited on a plan of care. My daughter ended up arriving earlier than anticipated and I was being monitored for high blood pressure. Through every uncertainty and waiting time, Nancy was beyond there for us. She graciously taught my husband how to swaddle our daughter multiple times, kept in close contact with my providers, and updated us immediately on any news. She catered to not only me but my entire family. She patiently answered all our questions and was so genuine with her care. Our comfort was her priority. I remember one night our daughter was struggling to be soothed during light therapy. Nancy noticed how she was crying and my husband and I were limited on what we could do to console her. Nancy not only took the time to notice what was happening but spent a lot of time in our room setting up our baby to be as comfortable as possible. For so many reasons Nancy was the only reason we got any rest at night. I always looked forward to seeing her and we are so appreciative of her care. I could not imagine anyone else caring for our newborn.
