She not only put me at ease but my mother and sister were also relieved to see an understanding nurse taking care of me.
After my surgery, I was brought to the PACU unit for recovery. Elenita was my assigned nurse. She swiftly built a good rapport with all her assigned patients, including me. She made sure that I was comfortable and gave me the confidence that if I needed anything, I could call her. Although it was evening/nighttime and everyone was tired, she kept her positive attitude and always worked with a smile on her face. She explained the purpose of the medications I would be taking and brought me warm blankets to ensure I slept better. She always kept an eye on me while I walked inside the PACU unit to exercise and ensure that I wouldn’t fall. She was also great at teamwork. If anyone in her PACU team needed help, she responded quickly and assisted them right after finishing her tasks.

Everyone on the PACU team was great and very helpful. However, Elenita was the one who made me feel at ease the most. Family members were not allowed in PACU, so she informed my mother about my progress. She not only put me at ease but my mother and sister were also relieved to see an understanding nurse taking care of me.

When her shift was about to end, she returned to let me know that she would be leaving for the day and wished me the best. She went beyond her nurse duties during her shift. She gave moral support to everyone and made my stay in the hospital at the PACU unit a pleasant experience. Therefore, I would like to thank my nurse, Elenita Rebolos, for her friendly, compassionate, and professional attitude.
