I was in Neuro ICU in July. Aileen was my night ICU nurse and very compassionate as I had significant nausea. I was having a post-operative MRI and became ill. She immediately administered drugs to reduce the feeling. Each hour in ICU I was asked several questions about name, date, where I was, pain level. During the middle of the night, I responded that I was a ½ block from paradise. She responded with, "Leon’s"? I confirmed. The following night she brought me an ice cream from Leon’s as a surprise gift. I did not ask her to do that, and she would not accept reimbursement. Aileen made my stay as enjoyable as possible, and she went above and beyond with her special surprise gift. She is the sweetest most compassionate nurse in the ICU!
