She clearly cares about her patients and has pride in the work she does.
I was cared for by the best. The moment I arrived in my room on 3G, I was greeted with a smile by Linda. She was attentive, proactive, and compassionate. Linda embodies the title of Nurse. She settled me in and made sure to order me something to eat as the kitchen was about to close. She made sure I had enough bottled water to encourage me to drink fluids. She was attentive to my drains and surgical site and assessed me frequently. When she noted there was a large clot in my drain, she took care of it immediately. My blood pressure dropped unexpectedly and she launched into action and started a fluid bolus and notified the Physician immediately. She made sure my labs were drawn quickly and assessed and secured my surgical dressing. She made sure I received everything I needed. Of course, I improved and was on the way to recovery. Her shift ended at 7pm that night. I continued to see her until 10pm. She was dedicated to making sure I was ok. I know she was probably behind on her other patients, but she never made me feel that I was not her first priority. I have had the honor of working with many nurses in my career. Linda is at the top of them. She clearly cares about her patients and has pride in the work she does. I knew I was in excellent hands.
