Katie was recently recognized by a patient as well as a capstone student for the excellent care she provides. Both nominations detailed that there were "too many positive stories to share."

A brief passage from her nomination reads, "Katie has been my capstone preceptor the last few weeks and has been very encouraging and helpful in developing my skills as a nurse. She guides, educates and ensures I know different procedures and reasonings. I feel very comfortable working alongside her as she always helps me learn from my mistakes instead of judging me. Katie shows me time and time again what an exceptional nurse is. All of her patients and coworkers love her presence. She has continued to challenge me every step of the way, and I appreciate that she always teaches about any questions or misconceptions I may have. There are too many stories to fit on this nomination!"
