I was brought to PLCM via paramedic ambulance on a 911 call. I had an extreme bloodstream infection. I had vomited nearly 40 times before I made it to the hospital. I could not stand, walk, or eat and I was in extreme pain. Kelcie was an extraordinary caretaker from the start. She was quick to respond to my every need. Kelcie anticipated my needs and provided extra care and effort with joyfulness, kindness, and enthusiasm I have rarely encountered from anyone I have met in my life. Kelcie went to the trouble to search down and bring me extra snack items and expressed such happiness that I had enjoyed those snack items. Kelcie showed a great personal interest in my life situation when she found out that I lived in my car. Kelcie went out of her way to explain every medical procedure and series of medications I was receiving. Astonishingly, Kelcie thanked ME for the privilege of the opportunity to take care of me. Kelcie is an extraordinarily compassionate human being. When Kelcie found out that my birthday was soon and that I would be spending my “b” day at the hospital without any family, since I am the last remaining member of my family. She went out shopping and brought me an elaborate birthday present, placing it in a very decorative gift bag. The birthday gift Kelcie gave me included a shaving kit which I made good use of to clean myself up. Kelcie took the time to ask me about my life story. She also said if there is anything you need, please call me. Kelcie is one of the most special people I have ever met in my life. She is extremely kind.
