Having a heart attack is very scary event! Especially being 4 hours from home. All of my nurses were EXCELLENT, but I have to commend Barb, and not only her nursing skills, but her care, concern, and compassion. She made sure we knew what was happening to me every step of the way, which is very comforting. On Monday, Barb recognized I was having a setback just by looking at me. She assembled the team and got me all the tests and medication I needed. It turned out that I needed another cath with 2 additional stents. She advocated for me every step of the way, even going out in the hallway and bringing Dr. Howell (who was SO great) to come talk to me. Not only did she bring a great amount of comfort to me, but to my wife as well. She patiently explained everything to her so she could contact our family and keep them updated. Please let Barb know how much she’s so appreciated by considering her for this award. Your entire staff should be commended as well. We will never forget Barb or the level of care provided by the entire staff of Munson Hospital. Thank you.
