Darcy is one of the most considerate, compassionate nurses I have ever had the pleasure to work with. She approaches each patient with a contagious upbeat attitude that instills a sense of trust and hope in her patients. She is a tremendous resource on the unit. Darcy is one to turn to for the latest updates as she reliably ensures she keeps up to date with changes on the unit. She cares for her patients with her whole heart, and this can be heard in the loving conversations she has with them. Darcy is a team player that is always flexible with assignments and serves as the ultimate role model for delivering safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care.

When I started as a New Grad RN at Saddleback MemorialCare years ago, I had the privilege to be precepted by an awesome RN, Darcy Shubin. Not only that she guided me with her clinical skills as an educator, but she also taught me how to acknowledge the patient’s individuality to properly respond and give the most appropriate care. Darcy always treats her patients with kindness and compassion, respect, and dignity. She allows her patients to tell their stories and spends time engaging in conversation, and shares her relevant stories as well. Darcy Shubin is exemplary with everything that she does, a reflection of true core values of nursing, and to this day she leads me by her examples that I will forever be thankful for.
