Everyone that helped me was awesome, but Megan was extraordinary. She was my nurse when I arrived on the unit to be induced and put my fears at ease almost immediately. She spent a huge majority of time comforting me and making sure all of my needs were met. She talked me through each incredibly painful contraction and helped massage away my terrible pain. She supported me while getting my epidural and eased my anxiety about it as well. After the epidural was in, she made sure to reposition me regularly to keep me comfortable and prevent skin breakdown. She went above and beyond to take care of me on one of the biggest days of my life. She was able to anticipate my every need and make sure I was completely cared for. She wasn’t able to be there for the actual birth but made sure to come by when she came back for the next shift and check on us to make sure we were ok, and everything went well. I hope she knows how much she is appreciated for all she did for my family. I will never forget her.
