Over the weekend Michelle was my assigned nurse. During that time, I was profusely crying as I wanted to leave Rush because I had many uncertainties about my care and recovery status. But, after being transferred to JRB and working with the staff (the standout is Michelle), my prayers were answered. I must say that I was crying like a baby and Michelle took the time to sit with me, hear my concerns, and comfort me by explaining my plan of care as well as the expectations that would help me with my recovery. She treated me like a “human being”, and I am grateful for that. People don’t always know how much it means to the patient when they are treated the right way. Now, I am on my way to recovery thanks to Michelle. Some people are born to become nurses and Thank God that Michelle is one of them.
