Heidi has made my treatment surprisingly enjoyable and often during treatment, I am able to forget that it is an unpleasant time. She has contacted me via phone on multiple occasions to ensure that if there were any conversations during treatment that were not “closed” I get the answers prior to my next visit. My oldest child has had a difficult time with my diagnosis and subsequent treatment. Heidi came up with a plan to help let all of my children know what goes on during treatment days and involved other staff members to create a “day in the life of treatment” video for my kids, which has helped them understand what I undergo and that it isn’t as scary as it could be (in their minds). She is the main reason that I will continue to stay with DFCI - Londonderry. I appreciate both her understanding and adaptability to both my wife and my sense of humor, making each visit significantly more enjoyable. Additionally, on each visit she asks how everyone in my family, by name, is doing and if any of us have questions or concerns.
