Our nurse is the standard by which all nurses should be trained! She is amazing. After a very long and unexpected day, we found ourselves in the hospital with my dad. Dad has been scheduled for surgery but on the way here, he had a seizure! After a short time in the first area where everyone was wonderful, we were moved to another unit. Dad‘s nurse was great there too.

Finally, we were moved to an inpatient room where we met the nurse who instantly put dad at ease and treated him like family while keeping a professional demeanor. Dad‘s nurse took care of him for two days and was just the most exceptional nurse we’ve ever experienced. I saw Gina do things that probably were not her job but she definitely has a team-player attitude. From finding trash bags to towels or new gowns, if the assistant was busy or if housekeeping could not bring those, she met the need and not just for our room but others as well! In this day of understaffing issues, she picked up the slack and never grumbled or look bothered. Your institution should have many more like her! Her care for the patients was evident in everything she did.
