As a probationary nurse before, I was very nervous when handing off patients to her. She was very precise in handling patients, detailed and observant. She would always query me with questions that I haven't even thought about in regard to our patients. Because of this, I was able to be keener with my patients and be more observant. As time grew, she became one of my senior nurses whom I really looked up to and aspire to become. As a trainee desk nurse, she thought me to be more decisive and how to be more detailed. She would always give me constructive criticism, especially during the first few weeks of my desk nurse practice. She was always a patient advocate and would go to lengths to keep a patient more comfortable and to ensure that the proper diagnostics, labs, or even financial matters are handled well, even though it was time-consuming. She's always available for queries and would do her best just to ensure everything is all in place.
