The nurse undertook this task with an enormous amount of empathy, professionalism, and human kindness.
My wife was diagnosed with terminal cancer at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital last February and died in April. The care and treatment she received on her many visits to the hospital were exemplary in every aspect from every member of staff that we came in contact with. I would like, however, to single out one member of staff on the team who for us stood out.

This nurse’s commitment, dedication to their job, and attitude to their patients were unbelievable. The nurse had the task of breaking the news to us that my wife was suffering from terminal cancer. The nurse undertook this task with an enormous amount of empathy, professionalism, and human kindness. This was of great comfort to us at the time and still is for me. This nurse also followed up on my wife’s case until her demise. She is such an asset to your team
