First, let me tell you that God is missing an angel, but no, she is here among us in the infusion center. Her name is Adriane Bynum. The first time I met Adriane, she greeted me by name like we were old friends. Dressed in hospital scrubs and wearing a mask, I could still see her smile by the twinkle in her eyes. I felt at ease and comfortable. She is most dedicated and knowledgeable in her job. She treats all her patients with the greatest of care, not just in their medical needs, but she ensures each one is offered something to drink and even a muffin if they choose, and please don’t forget the warm blanket. In my own case, I had to meet some doctor appointments so she most efficiently adjusted my schedule and coordinated with the lab and others who would be affected by the changes during my infusion. She explained every step of the process making me feel at ease.

One morning as she was taking my vitals, I was on my phone and leaving a message. The blood pressure cuff came loose and I said it broke, we laughed, making it impossible to leave an intelligible message so I hung up. Her giggle is infectious and brings a smile and chuckle from all. I’ve been coming to the infusion center every day for the last six weeks and just last week the mask requirement was relaxed, and I had the privilege to see her real smile.

I have to tell you I have had plenty of experience with doctors and nurses I have 12 doctors and their nurses plus having had 12 major surgeries.
