Jay Ann was my girlfriend’s nurse one late night. At this time, we were full-blown in addiction. Although J was sick and we kinda told her about our story of living homeless in a truck, haven’t eaten, etc, minus the part about our drug use. Although she probably knew, she went above the call of duty she offered me to lie down and asked if we were hungry offering up bags of food that we devoured. Most of all she talked to us; treated us like family would treat a brother or sister. That was the start of our journey to a sober and clean life. She made a difference and saved two lives unknowing that she was the difference maker. We both are now clean, I am working. She encouraged us and showed “love” that changed us forever. She deserves to be recognized for going above and beyond and unknowingly through her kindness, humbleness, and showing love to complete strangers, she saved our lives. Thank you and God Bless You.
