From the moment Julia introduced herself to our family, she has been a comfort, a staple, and a necessity during our stay here at Nemours. Her kindness, empathy, and love radiate in everything she does for my six-year-old son, R, and our family.

One of R’s symptoms was that he had intense stomach pain and needed to use the restroom at least once every hour. Julia not only helped him every single time but also comforted him while he was struggling with his pain. Little things like rubbing his head and asking R directly what he needed are what made my son request Julia for everything. She was patient and explained and answered every question we had. She would help me remember what the doctors said during rounds, and immediately followed up with any further questions I still had. She always knew exactly what my son needed whether it was a warm bath or a refill on his ice water. My son asked for her every day, and she even went out of her way to help us move rooms to be closer to where her station was. Julia has made us feel comforted and safe during this trying time. We truly cannot thank her enough!
