Regina has worked at STHS for many years in several roles as an RN. Regina gives 100% and goes above and beyond to promote nursing and STHS. She worked in the education department as a nurse educator. In that role, she assisted in obtaining healthstream for the hospital, created a course for code narratives, and she taught all units and specialties. She sits on the code committee and created a code team. She is a lead RN on the professional development committee and tirelessly works on planning and the many activities for nurses week. She dressed up as Florence Nightingale to promote nurses week and awareness. She volunteered to work in the ICU with the original covid patients. She mentors, precepts, and advocates for nurse residents in the ICU. Regina is a role model for nursing and working in the trenches to provide the best care for the ICU patients. She advocates for patients and families every shift she works. Reginal also volunteers to provide education for the community. She participated in stop the bleed and educated at local schools. She is an educator and advocate for “sudden impact” for high school students for drunk driving simulation. I wholeheartedly recommend Regina for the DAISY Award.
