Because of Tyler's patience and attention to detail, she never had to go without pain medication.
My fiancé was admitted after surgery and that evening was a roller coaster for us with her pain management due to there being complications during her surgery. After less than 12 hours on the floor, her ultrasound-assisted IV blew making it difficult to manage the pain. Tyler took his time to find a new IV site and explained the options along with the pros and cons of each before ever attempting to place a new IV; ultimately allowing her to make her own decision of where the IV should be placed. Tyler worked for an hour to ensure that only one IV puncture would be necessary and was successful. Because of Tyler's patience and attention to detail, she never had to go without pain medication. He also had a great personality and was a cheerleader for her while we walked the halls in the middle of the night. Tyler was quick to respond to all of our requests and questions. He was truly our hero and saving grace after surgery.
