Integrity: Shannon has held me under her wing since day one of being moved to Building 1. Shannon always shows up to work willing to help any clinic, grab that waiting Veteran and get them taken care of. Shannon is an easy person to communicate with. You can freely ask her for help and without hesitation she will volunteer to be the first to say "Me" I will do it! I envy her as a Nurse and want to Provide the care for others as she does.
Commitment: Shannon takes time to keep her Veterans in the Loop of their health care. She thoroughly explains what tests or procedures are needed and how to properly get them done. She takes ample time with the Veteran to let them know she cares and is there for them.
Advocacy: Shannon is always in her running shoes from the start to end of shift daily. She doesn't care if the Veteran is part of her pact team or not. She will grab that Veteran and get them signed in so they are not waiting. She is here simply to love and serve them.
Respect: Shannon is a gentle, kind, and soft soul. Anyone who encounters Shannon on a daily basis cannot help but smile when they are around her. She provides everyone with a positive work atmosphere and she gives nothing but 110% in everything.
Excellence: She has been here for several years but isn't afraid to ask questions and clarify things when needed. She is great to communicate and make things among her coworkers clear so good work ethic is possible. Shannon is a wonderful Nurse and I truly think she deserves more than the DAISY!
