I went into preterm labor at 36 weeks and 5 days while having COVID. I was admitted to Labor and Delivery and had many wonderful nurses, but JoAnn provided exceptional care and truly saved my newborn's life. She was in my room for her entire shift - in full PPE - and did not complain once. As a first-time parent, she helped me understand everything I went through with my entire labor and delivery experience. She guided me through every contraction and was extremely supportive. When my baby was born, she was grey and limp, not breathing. At the time of delivery, Jo was one of the only people in the room. Without hesitation, she jumped in and began resuscitation on her own until more help arrived. I am so thankful for the care she provided to me and my new baby. JoAnn provided extraordinary care and is truly an amazing nurse!
