Vicky embodies all the qualities of a true DAISY Nurse. She is consistently going above and beyond for her patients and families. Vicky always has the biggest smile on her face no matter what is going on. She is the best team player and is always there to help her colleagues whenever she is needed. Vicky is also a preceptor for the new graduate nurses for 2 East. She is patient with our new nurses and takes her time to teach them exceptional patient care. She helps to make the new nurses’ transition into practice easier by providing them with constant support and guidance throughout the orientation process. Vicky shows true visionary leadership on 2 East by not only being the preceptor for many of our new graduate nurses but by also being the charge nurse. While in this role, Vicky consistently helps her fellow nurses. She communicates well with other departments and stays on top of discharges and admissions to coordinate seamless patient care. Vicky is an active member of the patient experience and patient safety committees. She consistently brings back ideas in order to increase patient satisfaction and enhance the patient experience. This organization is lucky to have such a motivated and passionate nurse.
