I was sick and in pain; after several painkillers given to me by the previous nurses who attended to me, it was only Nurse Rasmi who made a difference. I was able to raise my voice because of the pain telling her to please give me another medicine. Despite my voice being so loud, I saw her eyes really willing enough to help me ease the feeling of pain. She let me do the side position, help my 2 hands tight, and guided me to do breathing exercises. She touched my hair like she was smoothly massaging my head. Touching my hands and hair made me feel really at ease. I don’t know why? But seeing the nurse’s face and eyes with her simple gesture and act of willingness to help me. That was really wonderful.
