Beth is dedicated and works hard each day to provide the very best experience she can to each and every Atrium health Navicent teammate.

Beth Mann is the most amazing and dedicated nurse leader. Beth has been a tremendous asset for Atrium Health Navicent, the Atrium Health Navicent teammates, the patients, and the patient’s family members for over thirty-three years. Beth began her career as a staff nurse in the ICU. After only three years Beth moved into her first leadership role. From that time until today she continues to be an outstanding leader, and role model at Atrium Health Navicent.

Each morning if you walk past Beth’s office anytime around 6:30am you will find her working hard preparing for the day. Beth will be compiling data for the 9am executive meeting. She will be looking through the charts of each patient that may be documented as being in restraints. She will investigate every discharge from the day before that did not discharge for some reason, and she will help each unit director or nurse manager to help facilitate those discharges, all while stopping in the middle of what she is doing to take the time to listen and talk with anyone that stops by her office in need (mostly me).

Beth manages the daily bed meetings with nursing leaders. She leads the daily huddle for nursing leaders. She is present on so many task forces and councils, I cannot begin to list them. As a part of the Nurse Practice Council, I have witnessed Beth’s leadership and her organizations skills in action. Beth does not ask anyone to complete an agenda for practice council, she does not ask anyone to take minutes, or organize the meetings. Beth completes these tasks herself. She is dedicated and works hard each day to provide the very best experience she can to each and every Atrium health Navicent teammate. When the Atrium Health Navicent Culture Commitments were announced to all of the teammates, I immediately thought of Beth as I read through each Culture Commitment.

Beth works hard to create a space where all BELONG, and she also creates a space where people want to BELONG. When I read our culture commitment, we work as one team to make great things happen, I see Beth leading the team each day with the guidance from our Chief Nursing Executive. Working together with our CNE, the AVP’s, all of the directors, Nurse managers, clinical leads, staff nurses, clinical technicians, with every member of our team, she works hard to make great things happen.

Through Beth’s daily actions the next culture commitment is something you know without a doubt you have with Beth, TRUST. Beth has earned the TRUST of the Atrium Health Navicent staff. She has lived out the culture commitment of TRUST for over thirty-three years. If you have an idea or a new process that you believe will provide a positive change, Beth will be on board. As a nurse innovator, I know that Beth will help INNOVATE to better the now and create the future. When we needed a new process to expedite the admissions out of the Emergency Center to the Medical / Surgical units, Beth was immediately on board with her full support.

The final culture commitment really defines Beth Mann, EXCELLENCE. Excellence as a nurse leader, excellence as a nurse, excellence as a team mate, excellence as a friend, excellence as a supporter, excellence as a daughter, excellence as a sister, excellence as a wife, excellence as a Mother, excellence as a MiMi, and excellence as a mentor. Looking forward in my career as a nurse leader, I will always strive to be the best I can be. I hope and pray that I will mean as much to staff members and teammates in the future as Beth Mann means to me.
