Harlie is complimented often by patients, peers, and leadership. She is a continuous learner who has completed additional training in wound care and is pursuing further growth in her nursing career. She is referenced by a house supervisor as someone who 'knows what is going on' with the unit at all times. She frequently calls and discusses patient progress to discharge and staffing needs with this nurse. Our wound RN has complimented her care of complex wounds, as 'being as good as her own' upon returning to work after a weekend off. She works independently to follow RN direction and is open to discussing opportunities to improve care and communication between members of the care team. I have been impressed with the professionalism she demonstrated when working to reconcile interdisciplinary communication issues involving her peer. I feel this nurse works to put her patients first daily and seeks to improve her work each day she is scheduled.
