Margaret is the backbone and strength of the night shift team on labor and delivery. Margaret is a strong leader and dedicates time and effort to support the success of our new grads through her clinical excellence. Her drive to ensure our new grads succeed is truly an inspiration. Margaret is highly respected and valued by nursing and our physicians. She is often the example and the advocate for patients and new nurses. Being that 80% of our night shift is new grad rns, Margaret ensures she is always available to build her team as a charge nurse by instilling confidence, providing education, and developing critical thinking. Margaret is always managing the new grads up and makes sure leadership is aware of the success stories and wins. Recently, Margaret was a part of an emergent delivery and the outcome was excellent due to her leadership skills. Margaret managed her team up and gave praise, however, when the team was recognized, they said they couldn't have done it without Margaret. She is a truly valued and respected leader.
