Amy was recently the primary nurse for a sensitive case patient. The patient had been extremely neglected by her caregivers to the point of multidisciplinary agents were filing on behalf of this patient. Amy spent hours cleaning the patient; utilizing her amazing nurse brain to think of using CBI bags through a fluid warmer to attempt to soak the patients soiled clothes so that they would come off easier and without causing more harm. Amy had the forethought to use the PhotoUploader App to document the state of the patient on arrival and the numerous wounds found after being cleaned. Throughout all of this, Amy and the team showed an abundance of compassion dignity and love to this patient.

Unfortunately the patient passed away less than 24hours later at BMC main. I can only hope that the compassion shown to this patient in her last hours put her at peace. Members of the Southwick Police Dept and Southwick Fire Dept have each contacted me regarding Amy and the exemplary care given to this patient.
