Gabrielle was my father's attending RN during his couple of days at the hospital. Not only did she provide excellent, compassionate care for my father, but she did for us as the family as well. We ended up placing him into hospice care due to numerous ongoing medical conditions he had at 90 years old and lost him soon after. Gabrielle was wonderful! She was gentle, patient, and caring, even joking with my father. She was always checking in with us to see if we as a family, dealing with a very difficult decision/time in our lives, and to see if there was anything she could do for us. She listened and tried to answer our questions as best she could, getting hospice or the doctor involved when needed, never rushing us or making us feel like she was too busy, even though we knew she was. She allowed us to all be together with our dad in one room with no other patient being admitted into the room to allow us privacy for the last couple of days we had with him. She even at times cried with us seeing the difficult loss we were having to deal with. She brought carts with coffee and tea in for us along with a box of inspirational rocks that touched all of us. I keep that rock at my desk with me. My dad has had several stays in Medina and Gabrielle was the best nurse he has ever had in every way shape and form! Gabrielle went above and beyond anything that was expected of her during this stay and I cannot thank her enough!
