My father was an ICU patient during the final days of his life. Gregg did an excellent job of balancing my wishes with the hospital’s strict COVID policies. Gregg demonstrated a high level of compassion and understanding. Not only did he demonstrate excellence in his bedside manner, but he also proved to be a true advocate for our family. I requested Gregg try and track down the availability of a priest. Within a relatively short period of time, a catholic priest showed up prepared to administer last rights. This act of advocacy and commitment allowed my entire family to be a part of this spiritual ritual. Gregg helped a grieving family find comfort through spiritual intervention. His efforts extended well beyond his clinical responsibilities and reflected the highest degree of respect and commitment in our family’s difficult moment.
