I cannot thank Christy enough for all she did while taking care of me. It started as a normal day going to my OB appointment at 35 weeks when I was sent to L&D for blood pressure checks, fetal monitoring, and preeclampsia blood workup. From the moment I arrived, Christy was diligent and compassionate. She hooked my baby up to the monitor and was very consistent in monitoring my blood pressure, trying to make sure we got the most accurate results.

A short time later, I was getting labs drawn and Dr. M was in doing her assessment, Christy brought up concerns about the fetal heart tones, calmly. Within what felt like minutes, my OB was called, and in my room, explaining I was going to have to have an urgent c-section. Christy advocated not only for me but for my baby boy. She held my hand, comforted me through the tears, and educated me on what to expect before, during, and after the c-section. She kept me calm during the process. You could genuinely tell she cared and loved every moment of her job. She anticipated my needs and wants and truly advocated in a way I didn’t even know I needed.

Christy went above and beyond, and then come back the next day with a smile on her face. After her shift ended, she took her own personal time to check in on my family and me. Your unit and hospital are lucky to have such a compassionate, experienced, and knowledgeable nurse. Thank you again, Christy, for your exceptional care and leaving a lasting impression, and making a scary event, a positive and memorable one. I sincerely appreciate you and all that you do for your patients.
